Navy assists to clear flood-affected areas


People who were badly affected due to the adverse weather condition in the past few days, were now returning to their homes. In this backdrop the Navy was engaged in assisting to clear garbage, which was piled up in public places and on either side of the roads in Wellampitiya, Kotikawatta, Kolonnawa, Biyagama and Bandarawatta areas.

 

Bangladesh Navy’s ship leaves for Sri Lanka with more aid for flood victims


Bangladesh Navy’s ‘BNS Bangabandhu’ has left for Colombo with another 105 tonnes of relief for flood and landslide victims in Sri Lanka. The ship left the Navy’s Issa Khan Base in Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon, bdnews24.com has reported.
