President to make second official visit to China

Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe told a recent media conference that President Maithripala Sirisena had accepted an invitation by the Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit China and the tour will take place soon.

He said the visit will help further boost relations between the two countries.

President Sirisena made his first state visit to China in late March last year, three months after assuming office and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe too concluded a successful visit to Beijing in April this year.
