Apahu Harenna Bae
Rajitha Dissanayake's play 'Apahu Harenna Bae' (No Return) will be
staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on Sunday June 12 at 3.30 p.m. and
7.00 p.m. The play deals with the relationship between the state and the
public in the dissemination of information during a time of war, and
also a man's dilemma in keeping certain aspects of his personal life a
secret from his family. In 2009, it won awards for Best Play, Best
Director, Best Actor and best Supporting Actress at the State Drama
Festival, and it was also performed at the Cairo International Theatre
in Egypt.
'Aluth Horek Onee'
Aluth Horek Onee directed by Ajith Mendis will be staged on June
12Sunday at 3.30 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. at Panadura Town Hall.
