S Thomas’ retain Archibald Perera Trophy

S Thomas’ retained the Archibald Perera Trophy for the second successive year beating St.Peter’s by 36 points (four goals, one try, one penalty) to 13 (one goal, two penalties) in their Singer Schools match played at Havelock’ Park yesterday.

For the Thomians, Ashwanth Herath scored 16 points through one try, four conversions and a penalty. Sachith Jayatilleke, Praveen Ferdinando, Dion Diaz scired one try each.

For the Peterites Stephan Sivaraj and Avishka Heenpalla scored one try each and Heenpalla made a conversion while Sandesh Jayawickrama fired over a penalty.
