Kids Dreams
by Husna Inayathullah
Hope, wish, fantasy....
Call it what you may, everyone dreams of being someone or doing
something different when they grow up. Some dream of being astronauts,
rocket scientists, space explorers... Some dream of being clowns,
comedians and running away to a circus. Still others wish to be lawyers,
doctors, cricketers or superstars.
The sky, as they say, is the limit to your dreams... But what's the
fun if you keep it all to yourself? So why not put pen to paper, or
finger to keyboard, and share with us what you dream of being when you
grow up? You can mail your dreams, along with your photograph to
[email protected] or send it by snail mail to 'Junior Observer', No.

My
ambition is to be a lawyer
My name is Saneera Rodrigo. I study in Grade Seven at St. Benedict's
College, Colombo. My ambition is to be a lawyer. My mother is also a
lawyer. So I know some rules about this job. The main reason I chose
this job is because I want to help people who want legal assistance.
There are some lawyers who work only for money and there are some who
mislead people. l want to be a lawyer who will help people and be with
my clents until they get justice. I always try to speak the truth and be
a good citizen.
I
want a stethoscope and a coat
My name is Shamra Wazeer. I study at Loyal Ladies college, Polgolla.
When I imagine myself in 10 years, I see a woman wearing a white coat
with a stethoscope around her neck, busy curing the sick. I will
accomplish it one day and create an identity for myself. I will bring
pride to my country, raise the voice of women in the world and bring
smiles of joy to my parents. I hope my dream to become a doctor will be
a reality one day. |
