Isipathana's Salinda Ushan tops 70,000 votes

Salinda Ushan Perera of Isipathana College, Colombo swept the board with a record number of votes (70,878) to maintain his top position almost from the beginning of the contest while his nearest rival last year winner Lakshina Rodrigo from St.Peter's College at the second place with 31,685 votes at Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Of The Year 2016.

Annite Piyumal Sinhawansa who also maintained his top position in the Gold segment for division 11 schools for a good number of weeks had more support coming from his fans not to be ousted from the top.
