Tuk Tuk Lanka Challenge 2016

The 8th Edition of Lanka Challenge will flag off today at 7.30 am, from Tamarind Tree Hotel, Minuwangoda with the participation of 18 teams, consisting of 51 individuals from across the globe. Contestants are a part of the 1500 km Tuk Tuk adventure where they will embark on a test of true character, resourcefulness, endurance and navigational stupidity.

They will have to self-drive their three-wheelers, patch it up when needed and face the most extreme of weather conditions, marooned in the most remote of locations and wearing the most ludicrous of outfits. There will be six check points in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Iginiyagala, Passikudah, Sigirya and Minuwangoda.

The award ceremony will take place at Tamarind Hotel, Minuwangoda on the 27th August at 8.00 pm onward. The winner will be awarded an airline ticket by the Sri Lankan Airlines.

The event is organized by the LARGE minority & Connaissance De Ceylan.
