Preena joins eServices as MarCom Consultant

Jumar Preena has been appointed Consultant to eServices Lanka Limited for its Marketing and Communication operations from January 16.

Preena, with years of experience in the fields of mass communication and marketing communication, last served in the Ministry of Commerce and Consumer Affairs as Head of the Media Unit. He joined the Ministry two years ago. eServices is the first government and private sector joint venture project that will facilitate submission of Customs clearance and other related documents electronically.

This new service called, the Sri Lanka Automated Customs Clearance System, will be the first of its kind in the South East Asian region and will help position Sri Lanka as the e-commerce gateway in this part of the world. Preena has served for nearly 24 years in the fields of journalism, public relations and publicity, marketing and marketing communications both in the public and private sectors.

He has also served in senior positions in the Government's Information Service from time to time.
