Sanyo relaunched under new agent Sanyo Corporation of Japan relaunched the Sanyo brand in Sri Lanka along with its new Sri Lankan agent recently. St Anthony's Consolidated (SAC) was the local agent for the Sanyo brand for many years, but gave up the agency last year by introducing Joan Arc (Pvt) Ltd. to Sanyo Corporation. Chairman, Joan Arc, K. Kumaranayagam thanked SAC and said they are privileged to be appointed sole agent for Sanyo home appliances, audio-visual equipment and air-conditioners in Sri Lanka. He said that its experience of more than two decades in business would help in further promoting and popularising Sanyo products among Lankan consumers. He said the company has two showrooms and has appointed 50 dealers island-wide. Assistant Manager, Asia Region, Sanyo Corporation Japan, K. Nomura said the company saw great potential in Sri Lanka as a fast developing and growing market in the South East Asian region. She said that Lankan customers have, for example, been purchasing Sanyo products for nearly three decades. Sanyo products, with their superior Japanese technology and speedy after-sales services, have enjoyed a very large share of the world's consumer patronage over the years, she added. Marketing Director, Russell Juriansz said all personnel attached to the company's Service Department have been specially trained and geared to attend to customer complaints with speed and efficiency. He said Joan Arc's commitment to fair trading was amply reflected in its after sales service. (HS) |
