Whirlwind scores a first with Sinhala
 Heavy Metal album

2004: "Pain is only the beginning"

The Revolution has arrived, where rock music has reached its climax in Sri Lanka. We believe that it only has happened in Colombo (so far). We may have been able to awake some mortals from their slumber, but not all. This is yet the beginning of a new dawn. We have seen a rapid climb of rock music since the mid of this year. And we know that there's Rock Company to thank for all that.

Rock Company has come forward to bring this kind of music into a visible range. As proud members of Rock Company we believe that it's time to let the world know of what we are capable of. So before reaching the top of the world we thought of doing something for our country.

That's why we have decided to release an Album (which is our first) for next year. We are proud to say that we are the first band ever in Sri Lanka to release a Sinhala Heavy Metal Album. The Album is called "pain" which has been done under "Torana Record Label". The album has 3 English Songs, 3 fusion songs and 4 Sinhala Songs mainly. We speak of a lot of truth in this album. "Every single creation in this aggregation has its roots in reality," the way we like to call it. If we are to spread our word around the world we must start from our own country. We are proud to be members of "Rock Company" and by joining hands with them this year we have gained a lot of exposure to what we have been doing for nearly two years.

We think that this album could help build and spread rock music throughout the island. Since we live in a country where the majority of people are Sinhala, we believe that this would help us take our massage more clearly. We speak of this because we are the only band in Sri Lanka that has two sides to expose (The Sinhala Metal industry and The Western Metal industry).

For this is only the beginning for us. We are also thinking of releasing another Album next year which will be more complex and heavier (an international target). We may be beginners at what we do but we do know what we are doing and we are so grateful for the ones who have helped us and for the ones who have tried to step on us on the way.

2003 has been a very good one, for all in our new industry. 2004 will be greater and a more painful one. As we call it "pain is only the beginning".
