Eve Signoraa 2004

Celebrity Indian Saree Designer, Sarita Ajitsaria will be in Colombo for the Lions Club annual charity fashion show 'EVE' on November 20 at the Galle Face Hotel. Proceeds of this charity event, titled EVE Signoraa 2004, will be in aid of the ICI Dulux Child Protection Trust Fund initiated by CIC Paints (Pvt) Ltd, a fund aimed at fighting child abuse in Sri Lanka.

Sarita Ajitsaria is the founder of an exclusive chain of Saree boutiques in India under the trade name 'Signoraa'. Signoraa is renowned for elegant, refined and up-to-date designs and style. Quality, authenticity and creativity are the company's hallmark, attracting a dedicated range of clientele, some of whom are big names in the glamour and business circles.

The 'EVE' fashion show will be an exclusive production with a presentation of a wide-ranging selection of Eastern and Western wear. Segments in the show include 'Young Collection', trendy, colourful and light clothing for the young, 'Working Class Collection', subtle and sophisticated designs which fit into any working environment, 'Diva Collection', a collection which celebrates women power, 'Romantic Collection' and 'Bridal collection'.

Top model Geraldine Bandaranaike and former Miss Sri Lanka Nushara Fernando Atapattu, will choreograph the show. Sarita Ajitsaria will be retailing her collection after the show and donating part of the revenue to the ICI Dulux Child Protection Trust Fund.

Tickets for the show are available at Rs. 1,000 at Galle Face Hotel Business Center, Rich & Famous at Majestic City and Crescat and at Velona Showrooms at Liberty Plaza and Bambalapitiya.

CIC Paints (Pvt) Ltd. initiated the ICI Dulux Child Protection Fund in 2001 to provide funding for the treatment and rehabilitation of abused children and to help to bring this problem to the attention of the public, particularly parents, through various campaigns and events. The fund was established to support organizations directly involved in fighting child abuse and also to help those providing support to its victims.

The fund and its various partner organisations underwrite counselling, therapy and accommodation for abused children. CIC paints believes that companies, which gain substantially from the goodwill and support of their surrounding community, have a moral obligation to protect and give back to that same community.

EVE is a fashion show of repute and high class with a successful track record of 23 years to date. This charity event is organised by the Lion Ladies of the Lions Club Colombo (Host). This Club has a history of 43 years in Sri Lanka and was the first Lions Club formed in our country. At last year's EVE fashion show the Lion Ladies were able to raise a considerably large amount, which was donated to the HOPE Cancer Project and the Jaipur Foot Fund.

This year the Lion Ladies wish to continue this charity by supporting an important social issue and contributing the proceeds of the fashion show to the ICI Dulux Child Protection Trust Fund. Graphitec (Pvt) Ltd., MTV Channel (Pvt) Ltd., Jupiter Trading Co. Ltd. and Cameron Pale & Medina (Pvt) Ltd., are the co-sponsors of the event.
