Commission begins inquiries by M. S. M. Haniffa - Oluvil Special Corr. The Presidential Commission appointed to inquire into the attacks on LTTE cadres will hold their inquiries in the Ampara High Court premises from tomorrow (Monday 28) till April 1 told the Secretary to the commission M. R. Kaleel, the Registrar of the Courts. The Commission will hear the evidence from the Public Security Forces, S.L.M.M., Police and the LTTE cadres to find out the circumstances and purpose of such attacks and will submit the report. The inquiry will include the murders, injuries made and the use of firearms in the Ampara-Batticaloa Districts from February 1st to March 2nd. The inquiries will continue in the Batticaloa High Courts premises about the attacks from March 4 to March 8, continued the Registrar. The Commission consists of Mr. K. Viswanathan High Court Judge Vavuniya as the President and Mr. W. T. M. P.M. Waraweva as member of the Commission.
