Women's cricket :

New Zealand beat Sri Lanka

New Zealand the current World Champions in Women's Cricket beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in their third women's World Cup 2005 Cricket Tournament match played at Harlequins Oval in Pretoria, South Africa yesterday.

The New Zealanders who won the toss put Sri Lanka into bat first. SL lost three quick wickets in the first ten overs for just 23 runs and were all our for 58 runs in 34.3 overs in 130 mts.

New Zealand in reply too had a bad start and lost two wickets for 32 runs but recovered. New Zealand scored 59 for the loss of 3 wickets in 18.4 overs in 60 mts to beat Sri Lanka.
