Trinity, Mahamaya Central Province swim champions

Trinity College and Mahamaya Girls College swept the board by winning the boy's and girl's championship respectively at the inaugural Central Province swimming meet organised by the Central Province Aquatic Sports Association (CPASA) and held at the University Swimming Pool at Peradeniya.

Trinity College won the age group championship with 599 points, way ahead of the second placed Kingswood College with 105 points. They also became champions at the novices swimming championship with 683 points with the second placed Colombo International School on 177 points.

Mahamaya Girls College had no difficulty in anexxing the ago group championship with 558 points. But in the novices championship, Hillwood College on 423 points closed the gap on the champions who had 528 points. The table of points of the novices championships were:
