No way to violate constitution by Deraniyagala Roving Corr. Neither the Government nor the President could violate country's Constitution. Those who take to streets should understand this fact. The Presidential Election will be held in 2006, whatever agitation made by the UNP. It is Ranil and his supporters who demand the violation of the Constitution and not the masses. Why is Ranil demanding an early Presidential Election?. May be, he is aware that the party would throw him out before the next election. Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Prof. Wiswa Warnapala made these observations at an opening of a Technical Training and Vocational Centre in Deraniyagala town last week. He said that the UPFA Government was stabilised and no force could shake it. The Deputy Minister added, that Vocational Training is a must for rural people, irrespective of their community and religion. It is by obtaining the necessary training in these centres they could aspire to seek entrance to varsities and enhance their knowledge. In a developing country like Sri Lanka, these Training Centres are an asset to our country. He would therefore advise job seekers to equip them with the necessary training in these centres, he concluded. |
