Galle International Stadium re-construction to start May 8

After the tsunami disaster, Sri Lanka Cricket will start re-construction work of Galle International Cricket Stadium on 8th May 2006 at 8.30 a.m. The chief guest will be Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Jeewan Kumaranatunge, and the guest of honour will be Minister of Vocational Training Piyasena Gamage.

Chief Minister Southern Province Shan Vijayalal de Silva, Deputy Minister Power and Energy Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Chairman Sri Lanka Cricket Jayantha Dharmadasa will also be present.

Galle International Cricket Stadium re-construction programme is being co-ordinated by Jayananda Warnaweera, Director Galle International Cricket Stadium and Secretary to Southern Province Cricket Association.
