SLVF spells out rigid training before Asian Junior teams are selected Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVF) will hold the second selection trials for 62 men's volleyballers and 40 women players on May 8 and 9 at Royal College Indoor Stadium, Colombo 7. Trials are conducted to select the junior men's and women's teams to participate at the 13th Asian Junior Volleyball Championships to be held in Thailand in July this year. Susil Ranasinghe, Secretary, Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation said that other than the 102 players selected at the first trial, the players who were unable to face the first selection trials on April 26 and 27 also can attend the trials on Monday and Tuesday. It is compulsory that the selected 102 players participate at the two-day trial added Ranasinghe. The trials for men will be held on May 8 commencing from 8.30 a.m. and for women on May 9 at the same time. The men's players already in the training pool are ; Sampath Fernando, Nilanka Sanjaya, Priyankara Perera, Lahiru Alahakoon, Mahesh Marasinghe, Dhanushka Atthanagoda, Chathuranga Perera, Chamila Nishan, Ranga Deerasekera, Eranga Wijepala, P.Nilaksha, D.Udayanga, Sandul Chulanga, Rumesh Indika, A. Chulananda, Ruwan Sanjeewa, Kasun Amaratunga, Bathiya Jayasinghe, Suranga Fernando, Primal Rasanga, Kasun Maduranga, Madushanka Premaratne, Chathuranga Alwis, Yasas Gunaratne, Kasun Jayasinghe, S.Subasinghe.
