Glitz 'N Glamour - A Night of Celebration

It was an impressive celebration of achievement as American National College (ANC) held its third annual Awards Night held recently at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, with Professor Lakshman Watawala, Chairman/Director General, BOI, as Chief Guest. Mr. Jagath Alwis, Deputy Chairman, Ceylinco Education Group gave the welcome address.

Among the distinguished guests were Dr. David Long, Chancellor of Northwood University, Dr. Henry A. Wiebe and Dr. Barry Flachsbart, Department Head-Information Science and Technology, University of Missouri-Rolla. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Punarjeewa Karunanayaka Executive Director of ANC.

The academic tributes were followed by a spectacular fashion show entitled Glitz N Glam, presented by the Art Club of ANC to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness in Sri Lanka. The show featured ANC students. It was choreographed by Brian Kirkoven

The evening ended with ANC's annual Summer Ball, where students, faculty and staff celebrated the culmination of a very successful year at ANC.
