Recognizing our Polarization
The newspapers recently carried an advertisement
calling for submissions regarding the framing of a new constitution.
Encouraging such public participation is a good thing. However, I
feel that Sinhalese and Tamils are significantly polarized in the
way they interpret the current situation.
