Kasun Safari Village
Kasun Safari Village, a four-room, eco-cottage, built on four acres
of land, is another new concept, at the entrance to the Wasgamuwa
Wildlife Sanctuary. It has been built bordering the Minipe Ela, and is
very popular among tourists, for river bathing. Standing on a
marvellously landscaped four acres of jungle area, Kasun Safari Village
has a large verandah where guests relax while bird-watching.
The bungalow is an ideal base to explore the Wasgamuwa Wildlife
Sanctuary, Managing Director, Kasun Safari Village, Upali Pathiraja
said. He said that his eco-cottage is given out mostly to Sri Lankan
families and expatriates, at a very reasonable price. Pathiraja caters
mainly to the domestic traveller.
The resort offers jeep safaris to the Wasgamuwa Wildlife Sanctuary,
and ancient religious sites which are close to the resort.
It also offers trekking to the nearly jungles, and to the 'Knuckles
Range' of mountains. A host of tourist attractions are close to Kasun
safari Village, Pathiraja said. The resort can be reached via E-mail:
