JKOA wins Gold at Toshiba's Best in Sales Growth Awards 2006

John Keells Office Automation (JKOA) recently won a prestigious Gold Award from Toshiba Singapore at the "Best in Sales Growth Awards 2006" for its record sales in notebooks in Sri Lanka.

Presented by General Manager, South and South Asia, Computer System Division Junichi Ishikawa, the Gold Award was received by CEO John Keells Office Automation for Sri Lanka Chandima Perera at a ceremony in Singapore recently.

"This award is an endorsement of the efficiency with which John Keells Office Automation operates in a high competitive market in Sri Lanka. Toshiba in Sri Lanka had sales notching a 166% growth rate during 2006", Perera said. The Silver and Bronze awards went to India with 131.7%, and Thailand with 118.8%.

"Notebooks, which are more affordable and user friendly are fast replacing desktops which are now widely considered passe. The Toshiba Satellite L30 Notebook has been a fast selling model in Sri Lanka with a record-breaking number of units sold within the last one year.
