Sinister move by Tree-Man
Most senior members of the Jumbo party still oppose the appointment
of Es Bee as the national organiser. Leading a sinister move to throw
the former sporty Ad-Minister is none other than Tree-Man who chairs the
party. During two recent press interviews, Es Bee has openly admitted
that MR is a popular and strong leader.
More crossovers likely
A few more Em Pees from the Jumbo party are set to join the
Government after Es Bee's open statement of MR's strength and
popularity. Ra-Blue is greatly disturbed by the news as such a move
could also kick him out of Op Leader's chair. But even a few remaining
members feel sorry for the poor lad and suggested that there should not
be any immediate crossovers though they don't accept Ra-Blue's
leadership.
Victory-Sun's media party
Karu the Victory-Sun hosted senior media personalities recently.
Instead of usual such gatherings hosted by Ad-Ministers at five-star
places or official bungalows, Victory Sun invited his scribe friends to
his residence. Many of those who were present appreciated that move.
There was no political mud slinging or gossips. It was an evening filled
with good relationships and genuine thoughts for the future.
Tigers prove Go-Taa is right
Tuesday's Tiger attacks at choppers which carried Deep-Low-Mats to
Batti have taught most foreign guys a good lesson. Most missions brought
pressure on defence authorities when their travel requests to the North
were turned down. But DS Go-Taa has done so due to the high risk
involved in taking Deep-Low-Mats to the North. Thanks to the mortar fire
of Tigers aimed at Deep-Low-Mats, the LTTE has now proved that DS is
right.
Local taste at Ambepussa
The new Ad-Minister of the Enviro type, Pata-Timber, on his way to
Kandy on an official tour, made a surprise appearance at Thala Jine's
spot at Ambepussa. The staff and Manager there were shocked to see a VIP
as all others used to have tea either at the Rest House or Restaurant.
But Pata-Timber of the heritage type, is a man who feels the pulse of
the people and enjoyed local sweetmeats at Thala Jine's spot.
