CRICKET: Leg spinner Lakshan Rodrigo snapped up five wickets for 36 as Colts CC bowled out Tamil Union for just 97 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match worked off at Havelock Park yesterday.

Vimanga Perera took a four wicket haul to help Kurunegala YCC dismiss Kandy YCC for 210 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match played at the Welagedera Stadium in Kurunegala yesterday.

NCC pile up 300

Hashan Goonetileka struck a fine 70 with eight fours facing hundred deliveries to help NCC reach 300 on the first day of their Premier Under 23 cricket match against Moors at Maitland Place yesterday.

Moors were 14 for 3 at close.
