Courtesy call

Faisal bin Abdullah Al Mahanoud, Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs of the State of Qatar paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka.

The Prime Minister and the visiting Minister exchanged views on bilateral relations which, they agreed, were mutually satisfactory. It was noted that there are a large number of Sri Lankan workers in Doha Qatar amounting to almost five per cent of the entire population of the country.

The Minister stressed the need to have more visit at political level between the two countries to further strengthen relations.

The Prime Minister extended an invitation to the Minister to visit Sri Lanka again as his personal guest.
