Pension scheme for artistes

A new Saraswathi Pension Scheme will be inaugurated for the benefit of artistes.

The inaugural meeting to award entitlement certificates to 86 artistes will be held on October 21 at the Cultural Ministry Auditorium under the patronage of Cultural Affairs Minister, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene.Beneficiaries over 60 years of age will qualify to draw a monthly pension of Rs. 3000 to Rs. 8000.
