Just ten days more to go before July 14 the closing date for all
entries to be received for Ms Lanka 2010 contest. Stop don't vacillate.
Be confident. Fill in the application form and mail it right away. Who
knows you may be the one that Lady Luck will smile on and give you that
enviable opportunity to wear the glittering crown!
Technique International in collaboration with the Sunday Observer -
Sri Lanka's leading newspaper with the largest circulation - have again
moved into present this attractive contest. To be a part of the
glamourous and colourful pageant is an experience - an experience that
will open doors for new achievements.
No sooner entries close on July 14, the Sunday Observer's Vote for
the Most Popular Contestant will commence. The coupon will appear weekly
in the Sunday Observer and make sure that you receive as many votes as
possible, to win the surprises that have been lined up by the organisers.
Besides winning the prestigious titles of Ms Lanka 2010 and Miss Sunday
Observer, you have ten other ways of being in the spotlight by carrying
off one or more of the ten Mini titles (see box).
Today being a model on the Catwalk is something most girls look
forward to. Not only is it financially remunerative it also grooms you
to acquire poise and confidence to face the world.

creating Evening Wear for Ms Elegant are requested to contact the

The excitement will begin to mount in two month's time when the
finals will be worked off in the last week of October 2010, with all the
much awaited training.
This year the main objective of the 16th Ms Lanka - Beauty for a
cause is to support the Differently Abled and Underpriviledged for
Vocational Training Skills - a worthy cause you will agree. As such
Technique International is seeking further financial support for this
activity and donations will be greatly appreciated.
In previous years the proceeds from Ms Lanka have gone towards the
talking book library for the Sri Lanka Federation of the Visually
Handicapped, the building of a development centre for women in
Batticaloa and improving the facilities of the elders home for the blind
in Ambalantota, among others.
The official print sponsor is the Sunday Observer and the other
