Roland win overall nett title

Roland Davies won the Overall Nelt title at the June Monthly Medal Golf Championship of Victoria Golf and Country Resort worked off at the Victoria Golf Course at Rajawella off Kandy.

Roland playing to a handicap of 25 registered a nett score of 70 Sujeewa Lankatilleke playing to a handicap performed exceeding will to get 71 nett and was just one stroke behind.

The Ladies Gross title was snapped up Indira Tibblins who got 93 gross. Manori Jayakoddy later in the day equalled this score. But on a count back on the last nine holes Indira Tibblin edged out Manori Jayakoddy 9.44 to 9. 49. In third place was Soma Boyle with 96 gross.

Talented Sujeewa Lankatillake came good in the Gross Championship for Men by getting 75 gross. In second place was Asakawa Yukiyasu with 81 gross Ian Tait from whom much was expected finished third with 83 gross.

Manori Jayakody won the Ladies Nett title with 75 nett playing to a handicap of 18. Sonia Boyle was second with 79 nett playing to a handicap of 17. Yukiyasu Asakawa lifted the Men's Division I title with a nett score of 72 playing to a handicap of 9.

The Men's Division II title went to Errol Johnston who got 73 nett playing to a handicap of 13.
