Australian Julian Wilson - surfing champ

SURFING: It was Australia's Julian Wilson all the way and he triumphed at the six-star rated Association of Surfing Professionals of SriLanka Airline Pro in flawless 4 to 6 feet surf on an epic day at Arugam Bay. Wilson had 14.33 while young had 8.83.

A wild card entry into this event helped Wilson and he held away and he made his presence felt in no uncertain manner throughout the day, and with his skills and he posted the day's highest scoring rides and came on top, beating a 19 year-old USA surfer Nat Young.

The two of them - that's Wilson and Young were without any shadow of doubt the worthy finalists and their made their presence felt in no uncertain manner. Wilson looked the champion all the way and he controlled the final from start to finish. Going through smoothly, Wilson did well to get a good lead in the final while his opponent Young somewhat faltered in his attempt in going for some big waves in his rentry moves that really did not materialise.
