Medal for hairdressing
The International Medal of Excellence, City and Guidls was awarded to
Gayani Surendra, a past pupil of Bishops' College, for her outstanding
performance in the Diploma in Hairdressing.
She was a student of the Ramani Fernando Sunsilk Hair and Beauty
Academy which has been recognised for its high standard of teaching and
training.
The medal is awarded to the student who obtains the highest marks in
the world for the International Vocational Qualification (Diploma in
Hair Dressing).
This medal is open to all candidates around the world who have
completed their international Vocational Qualification at a City and
Guidls approved centre comprising both theory and practical assessment.
As for opting to study at the Academy, Gayani said it was an honour
to be trained by the Guru who dressed her mother on her wedding day, 26
years ago. She said she was awestruck by Ramani and feels like she made
the most out of the opportunity presented to her.
