‘We are family’ fetches 2.7 crores!

The Kareena Kapoor-Kajol starrer’s latest flick ‘We Are Family’, which opened on Thursday (perhaps due to Janmashtami) at limited theatres for paid reviews, was received handsomely by the audiences and fetched Rs. 2.7 crores on its first day.

Karan Johar, the producer of the flick, and distributors UTV were ecstatic about it doing better at the box office. The Siddharth Malhotra directed flick had Kareena Kapoor playing the character of Julia Roberts, which she had enacted in the original Hollywood flick ‘Stepmom’.

Kajol, the ravishing bollywood babe, enacted the part that was played in the Hollywood original by Susan Sarandon. The Indian audiences loved the sparkling confrontation of the two reigning divas of bollywood on the screen as competing wife/girlfriend of Arjun Rampal, who played the male lead in the film. The film will be screened soon in Sri Lanka!

Kanye West is sorry!

The rapper has taken to Twitter to again apologise for the mess he made at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, when he cut Taylor Swift off mid-speech and said Beyonce deserved an award over her.

“I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it,” Kanye Tweeted this week. “If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her.”Continued Kanye, who will perform at the September 12 MTV ceremony: “She’s just a little girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone else. I’m ready to get out of my own way. The ego is overdone. Who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down...Taylor Loves Rap Music...I Love Country Music...I’m sorry Taylor.”

Ashton did not cheat!

Ashton Kutcher is not too thrilled about a report that says he cheated on his wife, actress Demi Moore. On Wednesday, a magazine published a story that claims Kutcher was seen getting cozy with “A hot young blonde” at a Los Angeles restaurant.

The story quoted an eyewitness, who said, “Ashton had this gorgeous girl pinned against the wall, and he was totally making out with her. I was shocked to see him with a girl who obviously wasn’t Demi.” Ashton immediately fired back upon discovering the report.
