John Keells Logistics earns OHSAS certification

Keells Logistics (Pvt) Ltd (JKLL) has earned the OHSAS 18001 certification at both its key warehousing and 3PL complexes.

OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) is an international standard for facilities with world-class safety and health management systems.

The certification was awarded to the current logistics facilities managed by the company, the 3PL complex in Peliyagoda and a Logistics Centres in Ja-ela.

To increase safety and meet the OHSAS 18001 specified standards, JKLL spent the past six months analysing and assessing risks associated with warehousing and 3PL operations taking all aspects of the business functions into consideration and developing numerous procedures and conducting many training programs for staff.

JKLL engages employees in regular health and safety improvements and conducts job safety analyses or risk assessments to minimise potential injury, making JKLL a risk-free working environment for its employees.
