Mother’s love is unconditional
Happy Mother’s Day!:
Our lives revolve around our mothers when we are small because from
our infancy we are utterly dependent on our mother’s for our existence.
We cannot do anything without our mothers and they are readily there
to meet all our needs. However, as we grow older and become capable of
taking care of ourselves some of us tend to distance ourselves from our
mothers and not show them the love and respect we ought to give them .

Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that from the moment we were
conceived a mother not only risks her life to give life to us but also
sacrifices so much to nurture us and give us the love, warmth and care
needed to become who we are today.
There is simply no one in the world who will love and cherish us as
much as a mother would . She gives us unconditional love because mother
is the fountain of love.
Even though we in Sri Lanka are traditionally taught to love and
respect our parents and elders many tend to neglect their parents today
due to the hectic pace of life . They have little or no time to show a
mother how much she is loved and appreciated.
So ,on this Mother’s Day let’s pay a tribute to all mothers who toil
so much for their children. There is simply no way we can ever really
thank mother for all she has done for us except to strive and become
what she wants us to be.
Mothers Day is the perfect day to celebrate the joys of having a
mother. It is the time to make amends for not being able to spend
quality time with her.
Turn your wrongs into rights by making all efforts to give a perfect
Mother’s Day to your mother.

“The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you
willalways find forgiveness.”
Honore’ de

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden,
fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends
who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken
around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavour by her kind
precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause
peace to return to our hearts.
-- Washington
Irving (1783-1859)

Angel of my home
The angel of my home is my beloved mother. She carried me in her
stomach for nine long months risking her own life.
Do you know that the maximum units of pain an average human being
could take is 44 units but a mother bears 54 units of pain when she is
pregnant and giving birth? In the Oxford Dictionary, the meaning of the
word mother is given as just a female parent, but a mother is lot more
than this.
There are some heartless mothers who give birth to a child and throws
him or her in to a dustbin or some other place. Perhaps such a mother
can be described as simply a ‘female parent’ because all she does is
giving birth.
A mother’s job is the hardest in this world. A mother’s
responsibility doesn’t end in just giving birth to a child. She has a
huge responsibility in nurturing the child after giving birth. A mother
loves you more than anyone else in the world. Some mothers give birth not
to just one baby but many. A mother will never be fed up with the number
of children she has!
My mother’s name is Deepika. She fed me when I was hungry by turning
her own blood into milk. She is the best mother ever and I love her a
lot.

Wait mum, wait...
She gave me the warmth of a mother
Which can’t be given by any other
Her deepest love towards me is perfect
It hasn’t lessened even now
She enlightened me about the things she knew
She taught me what life is
And how to live in it
Questions and problems puzzled me
But, she helped me answer them perfectly
Every moment, everywhere she is with me
Her glorious love lights my whole life
Thank you mum...
For offering your whole life for me
Sometimes you cry deep within your heart
I could see that,
Then your eyes are filled with tears of sorrow
Wait mum, wait....
I’ll add value to your tears,
When I became a great personality
Of this society
I’ll fulfil all your dreams
So, wait mum, wait...

She is very precious
My mother’s name is Ashika. She gave birth to me and named me “Ashvini”.
She taught me good habits and also how to respect elders. She also
told me the importance of neatness.
Her food preparations are very tasty. Without her help I cannot do
anything. When I come home after school she feeds me. She helps me with
my studies. When I go to sleep she holds me close to her and tells me
stories. When I am ill she looks after me without even sleeping. When I
go to school, my mother tells me to take care of myself. I pray to God
to take good care of her.
The most important person in my life is my mother. I love her very
much. My mother is very precious to me.
