Funeral of Mrs Nanda Weeratunga today

The funeral of Mrs. Nanda Samarasinghe Dissanayake Weeratunga, wife of retired Grama Niladhari Wilbert Weeratunga and mother of Sri Lanka's ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga, Ramani Weeratunga, Dayani Weeratunga and Gayani Weeratunga will be held today at 6 p.m. at the Thalapathpitiya Public Cemetery.

Her remains are now lying at her residence at 179A, Kanatte Road, Thalapathpitiya, Embuldeniya for the public to pay their last respects.

Mrs. Nanda Samarasinghe is the younger sister of the mother of Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa, President Mahinda Rajapaksa and their brothers and sisters.
