Abans HERO, a main sponsor of T20

Cricket fans got a chance to see the T20 World Cup Trophy and meet their favourite Sri Lankan cricketer. Several others won free tickets to see the T20 World Cup matches.This was made possible due to the efforts of Hero-Abans.Abans are the authorised reseller of Hero bikes.

The ICC T20 World Cup Trophy (which was given by the ICC to Hero) was presented to Abans representatives by Hero Officials on September 8 at Kandy City Centre.


Lanka IOC tree planting campaign

Lanka IOC recently launched a tree planting campaign at the bio diversity park behind Parliament at Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte to mark the 10th anniversary of its operations in Sri Lanka,


Union Assurance opens branch in Chunnakam

Union Assurance (UA) opened its 15th branch in Chunnakam."UA was the first private insurer to start operations in the Northern peninsula in 2002," a spokesman for UA said. "UA takes pride in its customer centric approach and will offer a personalised services in the branch.


Sampath, Book Fair official banker

Sampath Bank is the official banker for the Colombo International Book Fair 2012, for the ninth consequent year. The Book Fair is now on at the BMICH .

SLI Anuradhapura branch relocates

The Sri Lanka Insurance (SLI) Anuradhapura branch recently relocated to Maithripala Senanayake Mawatha. The new office was opened by Chief Officer (Life) Suresh Paranavithana. Deputy Minister Duminda Dissanayake and a large gathering of well-wishers and senior officials of Sri Lanka Insurance were present.

The CNCI (Ceylon National Chamber of Industries) has been hosting these awards for 11 consecutive years, recognising and awarding key Sri Lankan business for their contribution to the economy .


'Cricket Fever 2012' at BIA

World Duty Free Group (WDFG), a duty free operator at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) along with beverage supplier, Brown Forman Worldwide, commenced ‘Cricket Fever 2012’ on September 1 to coincide with the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.

The Cricket promotion campaign was inaugurated under the patronage of the Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services, Prasanna Wickramasuriya.


Baby Cheramy to support disadvantaged children

Baby Cheramy, a brand of Hemas Holdings PLC, celebrates 50 years this year. Commemorating the brand’s milestone and promoting the importance of education among children, Baby Cheramy and the Department of Probation and Childcare Services of the Ministry of Child Development and Women's Affairs, launched the "Big Heart" Project, which will fund the education of disadvantaged children from across the country during the crucial first five years of schooling.
