Renovated Dutch Naval Commissioner’s bungalow opens today
The 300-year-old Dutch Naval Commissioner’s official bungalow
building in Trincomalee, renovated at a cost of Rs. 75 million will be
opened today by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Funds for the project were
provided by the Netherlands authorities.
The refurnished building will be converted to an ocean museum with a
biodiversity unit as conceived by Ministry of National Heritage at a
cost of Rs. 45 million this year.
