Caltex supports Nena Guna Thilina book project

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC (CLLP) officials recently met Secretary
to the President, Lalith Weeratunga at the Presidential Secretariat to
mark the company's support towards the Nena Guna Thilina Presidential
Book Project for the fourth consecutive year.
Under this community program, hundreds of children in less privileged
schools receive access to insightful and developmental reading material
such as encyclopedias and other books by acclaimed authors.
Over 950 rural schools have benefited under the program to date,
where each school received a book pack valued at Rs. 75,000. Caltex has
contributed over Rs. 4 million towards this project, providing a new
bridge for schoolchildren from less privileged communities across Sri
Lanka.
"We feel privileged to be a part of such a remarkable knowledge
enhancement program launched by the Government, which will contribute
towards linguistic and intellectual development in children of less
privileged communities.
This enables us to give back to communities who deserve this free
opportunity," said Managing Director and CEO, Chevron Lubricants, Kishu
Gomes.

Lanka," a spokesman for the company said.
