Defence seminar

The Defence seminar organised by the Sri Lanka Army will be held for the third consecutive year from September 3 – 5 at the Galadari Hotel. The theme of the seminar is “Post Conflict Sri Lanka: Challenges and Regional Stability”.

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Army Commander Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake will address the inaugural session. The guest speakers of the three-day event are Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunge, Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal, senior military officials, top officials of Government institutions and leading politicians.

Defence seminar 2013 will focus on disseminating and exchanging views and ideas of post terrorism development and prosperity of Sri Lanka and its influence on regional stability.

The multinational forum of learning was initiated in 2011 by the Sri Lanka Army and continued successfully with the participation of defence and security experts, decision makers and military officials from many countries.
