The High Commission of Malaysia commemorated its 56th anniversary of Independence yesterday at ‘Rumah Malaysia’, the official residence of the High Commissioner in Colombo, with a flag hoisting ceremony and singing of the National Anthem, Negaraku. Here the High Commissioner Asmi Zainudeen addresses a gathering of Malaysians resident in Sri Lanka. Books were gifted to children of Sri Sumanarama Vihara Dhamma school, Kapuwelikanda, Dehiowita recently. The event was held under the patronage of Ven.
