Khurshid with the beneficiaries of the Indian Housing
Project while on a visit to the Northern province last
Tuesday. Among other Indian funded projects, the
construction of a cultural centre will commence at a
location adjoining the Jaffna Public Library.
Dhamma school books were presented to
needy students of Napawala, Kapu-welikanda Sri Sumanarama
Temple Dhamma School by Deputy Chairman of Sabaragamuwa
Provincial Council Dushmantha Mithrapala recently. Here

The passing-out ceremony of the National
Youth Brigade was held at the Bogambara grounds, Kandy under
the patronage of Youth Affairs and Skills Development
Minister Dullas Alahapperuma and Higher Education Minister,
S.B. Dissanayake recently.Here Minister Dullas Alahapperuma
exchanges pleasantries with Youth Brigade mem-bers.

Education and Career Fair 2013 at the SLECC recently. From

The Nithya Kalai Kaveri Centre for Fine
Arts, which trains students in Bharatha Natyam, cel-ebrated
its tenth anniversary this year, by staging Nrithya
Samarpanam, their maiden performance at the Tower Hall
recently. Here a dance perfor-mance by the pupils of the
centre’s Directress, Renuka Devi Poorajah.
