attached to the Anti Vice Detection Unit of the Kalutara South
police station were taken into custody for allegedly soliciting a
bribe of Rs.50,000 from an illicit liquor dealer.

Attack on Weliveriya temple: Three arrested
The Malwathuhiripitiya police Friday night
arrested three persons of the area on suspicion over the late night
attack on the Sabha Vihara in Weliveriya in which properties
belonging to the temple and vehicles were damaged, according to the
