Seminar on new developments in SLAS
The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA)
will hold a seminar on 'New Developments in Sri Lanka Accounting
Standards (SLAS) (LKAS/SLFRS)' on Tuesday from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm at the
Distance Learning Centre, SLIDA building, Malalasekera Mawatha, Colombo.
CMA Sri Lanka will source personnel from Ernst and Young, Sri Lanka
Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and Professional Practice
Development (PPD) who have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge
in applying Sri Lanka Accounting Standards equivalent to International
Financial Reporting Standards and in providing IFRS related consultancy
services for large financial service organisations, diversified
organisations, and multinationals including public sector organisations.
The panel consists of IFRS accredited trainers and keynote speakers
of IFRS fora.
Three illustrious speakers will share the theoretical and experience
in applying and interpreting the key concepts of consolidated financial
statements - SLFRS 10, Joint Arrangement - SLFRS 11, Fair Value
Measurement - SLFRS 13 Disclosure of interests in other entities - SLFRS
12, Employee Benefits - LKAS 19.
The workshop will provide an insight into the new 'control model' and
arrangements that may qualify for consolidation, accounting for joint
venture arrangements and impact of equity accounting for joint ventures,
disclosures of investments in other entities and minority interest,
principles of new fair value measurement standard and amendments in
employee benefits standard. |
