Samuduru Devsara in honour of Samudra Devi BV
Past pupils of Samudra Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Nugegoda presented 'Samuduru
Devsara' recently at the National Youth Services Council auditorium,
Maharagama to a packed audience.
The Past Pupils Association was founded on May 5, 1915 with 14
students as St. John's English Mixed School. In 1934 it was renamed St.
John's Girls' School. After the take over of schools in 1965, it was
known as Samudra Devi Balika Vidyalaya.
The felicitation Pooja dance at Samuduru Devsara was presented by
Samanmali Padmakumara. Samadhi, Vasantha, Sakunthala and Luxmi.
Deemathi,
Samanmali, Yasoma, Wasanthi, Luckshmi, Jayani and Shakunthala took part
in the Spanish dance. Mahadena Miththaniyai - Yeheliyo Pasdenai was also
showcased.
