Cover: Spinning a spindle

A girl is seen spinning a weaving wheel in way off Ampara. Our staff photographer Thilak Perera was at hand when he clicked his camera to capture this photograph. Weaving is a tradition in Ampara. The woven cloth is then sold to shops in the town.

Back Cover: Fun run

A three kilometre fun run was organised by Hilton Hotel to collect funds for charity. our photographer Ranjit Asanka spotted these children relaxing after the run.
