Hemaka Amarasuriya heads SLI

Singer Group Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya was appointed Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd recently.

Amarasuriya is one of the leading figures in the corporate circle of Sri Lanka. He also holds directorships in many public quoted and non-listed companies and his vast experience spans across a spectrum of diverse fields.

Amarasuriya was also the founder president of the Industrial Association of Sri Lanka.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, The Institute of Management Accountants - UK and is a Certified Global Management Accountant. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Instituted of Marketing - UK.

He also holds a Diploma in Marketing Management and Strategy from New York University, USA. He was the founder president of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Sri Lanka Region).
