Sancharaka Udawa 2015 from April 24-25

The President of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) Mahen Kariyawasam said that fifth edition of the Sancharaka Udawa will be held from April 24 to 25, 2015.

He was addressing a media conference on Thursday at the Monara Restaurant SLITHM, Colombo 3. Kariyawasam elaborated on the progress of the Tourism Industry during the past few years and how the Sancharaka Udawa has helped to boost the industry.

He said that Sancharaka Udawa was conceptualised and organised as a platform to showcase the small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs of the tourism industry. This platform has stood many a small venture well and the popularity of the event is testimony to its success in achieving its objectives.

Most often the local market is unaware of what is available to them in their own country, and the bigger companies are often unaware of the new products and services that are available on the tourism circuit.

Sancharaka Udawa is the place where all these elements come together and business opportunities are explored for the benefit of all.

Sancharaka Udawa 2015 will be a grand event and a large number of local and expat visitors are expected to attend. It will be an ideal opportunity for those interested in the tourism industry and even students to get a first-hand understanding on what is available in the tourism industry.
