Heart patient needs help
M.E. Fernando of Moratuwa has been advised to undergo urgent High
Risk Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery.
The procedure which could be performed at the Durdans Hospital, is
estimated to cost around Rs. 880,000. He appeals to the generous public

Liver donor sought
H. M. Bandula Priyantha, a father of three children, is suffering
from advanced chronic liver disease. Dr. Anurudha Dassanayake of the
Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Clinic, Colombo North General
Hospital, Ragama has recommended liver transplant.
Those willing to donate an 'O' positive liver may contact the patient

Arabic Language prize-giving
The "World Arabic Language Day Prize Giving" organised by Zahira
College, Colombo will be held on February 22 at 10.00 a.m. at the
Deshamanya M.T.A. Furkhan Hall, Zahira College.
Ambassador of Palestine in Sri Lanka, Zuhair M.H. Dar Zaid will be
the chief guest while Lecturer Fathih Institute of Sri Lanka, As Shaikh
A.S.M. Nauushad will be the guest of honour and Senior Lecturer of the
Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Peradeniya, Dr.
M.S.M. Saleem will be the guest speaker.
The event will be held under the patronage of Principal, Trizvi

Local Govt Diploma Awards
The Sri Lanka Institute of Local Governance will award certificates
to the elected members and officials of the Local Authorities who have
completed the diploma and certificate courses on February 26 from 10
a.m. to 1.30 p.m. at the Committee Hall B of the BMICH.
The ceremony will be held under the patronage of Minister of Public
