15th International Schools Athletic C'ship powered by Pearsons

The 15th International Schools' Athletics Championship (ISAC),
organized by Gateway College Colombo, will be held from February 27 to
March 1 from 8 am to 6pm on each day at the Sug athadasa Stadium,
Colombo.
ISAC 2015 will be conducted under the International Athletic
Federation rules including electronic timing and measurements and in
accordance with the International Schools of Sri Lanka (TISSL)
regulations.
Last year championship's best athletes Udantha Bandara and Shanika
Fernando of Gateway College, will light the Olympic torch. For 130
disciplines, around 3,000 athletes from 25 international schools across
the island, will take part this year. The organizing committee is
15,000. Large number of spectators are expected at the Sugathadasa
Stadium during the three days of competitive meet.
The principal sponsor for ISAC 2015, will be Pearson Qualifications
International, which is the leading examinations body offering British
qualifications world wide. Dialog Axiata and Ceylon Biscuits Limited
makers of Ritzbury will be the co-sponsors. HSBC will be the official
banking partner while MAS Holdings will be the official clothing
partner.The official health partner will Nawaloka Hospitals while
Hameedia will provide the running numbers for the athletes.
Seetha Kumar, the vice president of Pearsons Qualifications
International will be the chief guest on the opening day while the
colourful closing ceremony will be graced by Chief Executive Officer of
DFCC Vardana Bank, former Davis Cup tennis player Arjuna Fernando.

the entry form to the final day's overall results. The overall medal
tally will be announced in alphabetical order.
Gateway College has won the championship on seven occasions during
the 14-year long event while Lyceum International School Wattala have
won six times as well as winning the championship for the last five
years. Colombo International School won it in 2005.
