Triple score for Maliban
Maliban was recently awarded ISO status in three different areas of
service standards, which serve as a benchmark for the quality and
assurance in delivering utmost value to the consumers.
Maliban was awarded the ISO 14000 and ISO 22000 certification - the
former pertaining to the environment and the latter certification for
food safety standards. Maliban is currently the first and only biscuit
company to achieve the ISO 22000 certification.
Maliban also had the distinction of being the first biscuit
manufacturing company in Sri Lanka to be awarded the ISO 9001
certification in 1995 - which was later upgraded in 2003 to ISO
9001:2000 Quality Management System Certification. The company was also
the first to achieve the National Quality Award in 1996.
