PA-UNP alliance needs enlightened programme
President Rajapaksa has proposed marriage to the
UNP and the response has been coy but guardedly positive. So far so
good, but if the two major parties do tie the knot it must be on the
basis of a fitting and feasible programme of work; otherwise waiting
in the wings will be nemesis, the JVP alternative government.
