Suzuki Wagon R tops sales in Japan

Suzuki Wagon R sold the highest number of cars in Japan last year. The most commendable is that Wagon R achieved this feat among all car segments in Japan.

Wagon R has already entered into the Top five selling models in India and is growing at a phenomenal rate of 32 percent per year.

The highest selling car in India last year was Maruti Alto which also belongs to the Suzuki-Maruti family. The latest model of Maruti-Suzuki Wagon R was launched by AMW at the Auto Show India at the BMICH.

Maruti has been given a brand new look with major changes in the front, rear and the interior. Jagdish Khattar MD of Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) told the launch of the new Wagon R in India, that Maruti will continue to focus on the compact car segment in the next few years.

According to MUL, the new Wagon R is 10 percent more fuel efficent compared to the present Wagon R.

The new Wagon R has been styled and designed entirely by Indian engineers at Maruti. "Wagon R has a large number of loyal customers who like it for its space, comfortable ride, superior technology and refined engine.

The new Wagon R while retaining the earlier benefits comes with more appealing looks, the MUL MD said.


Latest model of Hero Honda Glamour unveiled

The latest model of Hero Honda, programmed fuel injection Glamour was introduced by Stafford Motor Co Ltd at the Auto show India at the BMICH.

Programmed - fuel injection technology that drives new age cars is being used for first time in India in motorcycles by Hero Honda Motors Ltd.

Kapila Gunatilleka, DGM of Stafford Motor Co Ltd said "Hero Honda" continued to grow consistently in the first quarter of this year with the support of the business partners, Stafford team and customers. He said that the marketing and after sales - service network is being improved to face the customer demand and the utmost customer satisfaction.

Quick engine response reduces frequent gear changes and knocking at lower speeds. Choke-less start and ease of starting even in extreme cold conditions are the remarkable features of Hero-Honda programmed fuel injection glamour. According to Gunatilleke, the most preferred Hero Honda model in Sri Lanka, at present is the 150 cc Hero Honda Achiever.


Isuzu F-series - extra protection

There is a wide range of Isuzu F-series trucks namely FRR, FSR, FTR, FVR, FVM, FVZ, FSS and FTS on Sri Lanka's roads.

Starting at a GVM of nine tons and going up to 21 tons, the eight F series models provide the power and versatility the customer needs to get the job done. Isuzu owners do the job in style and comfort due to the upgraded cab.
